- 500g thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
- 200g cheese (cheddar or provolone)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers and sauté until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Incorporate the steak strips, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Lay the tortillas flat and add a portion of the steak and vegetable mixture along with a handful of cheese.
- Roll the tortillas tightly around the filling.
- Toast the wraps in the pan for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown, if desired.
- Serve warm, optionally with dips or sauces.
Notes
Prepare the filling in advance for quicker assembly. For a vegan option, substitute beef with grilled Portobello mushrooms or tofu.
